Schimmel Center—located in the heart of downtown Manhattan at Pace University—today announces programming for its 2018-2019 season, featuring 30 events spanning multiple genres including award-winning comedy, dance, cabaret, folk and rock, documentaries, world music, and family programming.
The season launches with a weekend of star-studded solo appearances on September 28th and 29th. Mandy Gonzalez (Nina in the original Broadway cast of the Tony-Award-winning-musical “In the Heights,” and currently appearing as Angelica Schuyler in Hamilton) performs songs from her new EP, “Fearless: B Sides”—a follow-up to her debut album, “Fearless,” released in 2017—on Saturday, September 29th at 7:30 p.m. “Fearless: B Sides” includes songs such as “I Only Have Eyes for You,” “Bein’ Green,” and her first ever Spanish language recording, “Vivir Mi Vida.” The title song of the album, written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, utilizes Mandy’s personal story to explore political and familial issues.
