Art History Alive with Dr. Janetta Rebold Benton

Where did these geniuses actually live and work? Sneak a peek into the private homes (and personal lives) of famous painters, sculptors, and architects. Dr. Benton compares their environments to their masterpieces.

The Italy lecture features the homes of Fra Angelico at San Marco monastery in Florence, Leonardo da Vinci in Vinci and the Clos Lucé in Amboise, Raphael in Urbino, Giorgio Vasari in Arezzo

 

About Dr. Janetta Rebold Benton

2012-2013 Fullbright Senior Scholar Award winner and has presented lectures at the Metropolitan Museum of Art as well as the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC. She has published 7 books to date as well as articles in numerous periodicals.
